Poison Oak
This was a prehike for backpacking. A quick trip getting used to their packs fully weighted, getting comfortable for future backpacking trips this season. Wow. I think they were surprised. But we were too. The boys did fabulous. Either they were completely oblivious they had packs on, or they have definitely gotten stronger through all the activities they have been through.
Yep, the small hill killed him.
The weather was warm, but we had some great lessons. 1 lesson learned was what poison oak looks like and dont touch it. Lol. No one did, and no one was hurt during this lesson. But there was alot at the beginning of the trail.

After a fairly flat trail to the Natural Arch, we headed up a quick steep incline. I think all of our Elevation gain was in one small section about .3 miles Lol. By the time we hit the CA4 it wall down hill with some beautiful flowers and views.
beautiful wild Lupine

With a hike like this, we are going to have an amazing year this year. We are all looking forward to it. (well except sage who says he is not doing the merit badge. Lol.)
Me and my Man Cub

Hmmm I forsee a future problem with packs, and room.
