Pioneer Bridal Trail to Laurel Hill & Zig Zag Falls

This is our 3rd 10 mile hike this year and will meet the requirements for many of the boys before their 20 miler. This one is probably the easiest hike they will do. We start off from the Zig Zag Falls parking lot, head to the falls, then connect to the Pioneer Bridal Trail which is a historic trail from Government Camp to Camp Kiwanis. about a mile into the trail we cut across the freeway to check out Laurel Hill another historic landmark where the old wagons were lowered down this really large hill of which many did not make it. Sadly, we couldn't find the trail, and had to skip out on the hike up to it. The rest of the hike was pretty uneventful. 

Overall this is a great hike for kids (minus the laurel ridge highway crossing). Flat and Fairly easy.
