Our first real opportunity to get out snowshoeing for the season, and the first real snow on the Mountain. This was also Mielie's first trip snowshoeing. A lot of firsts. We decided to hit Barlow Pass, but instead of trying something too hard for Mielie's first time out, we decided to head West instead of East. We literally just tooled around and got used to walking on snow. We went down some hills and up some good elevation, then stuck to the flat part of the trail for about a mile. It wasn't too hard for her and we all got out and got some exercise. It was just enough to get excited about snowshoeing.
