This hike was about going over some of the basics of hiking. How to be comfortable, how to navigate, the 10 essentials needed, leave no trace principles, etc. 

It was a bit of a soggy hike, but it was interesting to see this beautiful green space right inside our city. Who knew? right? We had a great time exploring, and going over the basics. Our guide was great and took the time to go over plants, and tree's, which is all brand new to me. I never really took the time to learn them. The kids were really challenged with their 10 essentials and navigation, I loved seeing it. 

The boys were all given maps and asked to navigate the trails.
